Opening a brokerage account is simple and secure. It can be completed entirely online. This convenient option is accessible on both mobile phones and computers. The process is straightforward: select a client category, enter the necessary details, and identify yourself electronically.

Is it possible to monitor my portfolio in real time?

You can monitor your portfolio in real time, execute orders in Greek and international markets, and have instant access to information, charts, and technical analysis tools. You have the ability to react instantly to market developments with confidence, speed, and support, wherever you are.

What is the MarketNavigator app?

In order to execute your stock trades with the right information, the Piraeus Trading platform allows you to follow the financial, business and stock market news. Through the market navigator application:

  • Follow the prices of the shares and indices of the Athens Exchange
  • At the same time you can track stock prices and international stock market indices
  • Access daily and historical charts of the Athens Exchange share prices
  • Access daily analysis of the stock markets

Piraeus Brainy

What is Piraeus brainy and how does it work?

  • Piraeus brainy is a Robo Advisor application, which means it is an affordable digital financial service that uses technology to automate investments based on the information investors provide about themselves and their financial situation. The term “robo” refers to the fact that these services are almost entirely digital, and that computers, smartphones, or tablets are used to access and interact with your accounts.
  • After downloading Piraeus brainy from the App Store or Google Play, you will need to complete a short questionnaire that helps us understand your personal financial goals, your experience in international investments, and your risk profile. Based on your answers, we will suggest an investment strategy.
  • If you wish to start our collaboration, you will need to sign the relevant contract and provide the necessary documents. Don’t worry, everything is done digitally.
  • Once your investment account is opened at Piraeus Securities, you can add money to it by easily transferring funds from your bank.
  • To open a Piraeus brainy account, a minimum of €1,000 is required. Once deposited, we will start investing for you according to the investment strategy you have chosen.
  • You will be able to monitor your investments daily through our new Piraeus brainy platform.
  • The application is available for iOS or Android mobile devices as well as via the web.
 

What are the costs of the Piraeus brainy service?

Piraeus brainy applies pricing based on the total valuation of your portfolio, with a cost of 1% annually, calculated quarterly. There are no additional charges or hidden costs. We cover these for you.

What types of investments can I expect to find in my Piraeus brainy account?

  • Piraeus brainy invests almost exclusively in Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs). An ETF, also known as a “tracker,” is a product that follows a stock market index, a category of bonds, or a combination of products.
  • From the thousands of available products, we select those with high liquidity (bought/sold immediately), mainly in European markets, allowing us to invest in any geographic area, economic sector, or investment category.
 

How is my personal data secured?

Piraeus Securities recognizes the importance of electronic transaction security and takes all necessary measures, applying the most modern practices. On the service’s website, a detailed description of our policy for protecting our clients’ personal data is posted.

Can I change my risk profile? Can I have multiple profiles? Do I need to sign a new contract and questionnaire again?

Yes, under certain conditions. You will need to contact us.

Can I reinvest? What is the minimum amount?

There is a possibility of reinvestment, with a minimum required amount of €500 each time.

What is the reference currency of the portfolio? Can I have other currency than the Euro?

The reference currency in your portfolio is the euro.

When can I liquidate? What is the minimum withdrawal amount?

You can liquidate whenever you wish. The minimum withdrawal amount is 500 euros. After 3-4 business days, the money will be deposited into the bank account you have declared. Piraeus Securities will use exclusively and strictly only the bank account you have declared.

How and when will I be informed about my transactions? Will I receive statements

Through the Piraeus brainy application, you will be able to find all the information regarding your portfolio and transactions. At the end of each quarter, you will receive statements.

Can I have co-beneficiaries?

Piraeus brainy does not support accounts with co-beneficiaries.

Can I transfer my portfolio to another brokerage firm?

No, this option is not available. If you wish to transfer, the portfolio must be liquidated, and you will be given the proceeds of the sale.

I already have investments with Piraeus. Why can’t you take my details from Piraeus? Why do I need to sign a new questionnaire?

If you are a Piraeus customer, you will need to open an investment account with Piraeus Securities to access our online platform. During the opening process, you also need to fill out a new questionnaire.

If you are a customer of Piraeus Securities, the only action required is to accept the Piraeus brainy contract through our Portal and fill in the questionnaire. This will redefine your investment risk profile for Piraeus brainy.
